Hello Friends and Fans of Monte, Virginia here from Monte’s management team.  We are making a new record!!! Whoo Hoo 

I’ll be posting a blog every day to keep everyone “in tune” with what’s happening in the studio.   We are gearing up for the big day when Monte and the boys arrive to begin rehearsal.  There will be 4 days of pre-production and then we go in to the studio to start recording.   Everyone is eager with anticipation.  The producer, John Billings, is wiggling like a pup.  Our sound engineer of choice is Rob Clark of recent Neil Young fame.  He engineered Neil’s last record and worked with movie producer Jonathan Demme to produce a movie of the making of the record.  Pretty impressive stuff. 

As soon as the fun begins, I will post photographs and some video clips so everyone can be a part of this.  

Monte’s just back from an amazing tour in Europe where he seems to be spreading like wildfire.  It must be contagious because his name is beginning to pop up everywhere.  I had a phone call from a summer intern that’s a senior in high school.  She said that her economics teacher required the class to watch the Monte Montgomery DVD.  Wonder what that has to do with economics?   Hopefully EVERYTHING. 

Monte was recently confirmed for PARKPOP Festival in the Hague.  He’ll be on the main stage keeping company with Sheryl Crow and Jason Mraz.  Over a quarter of a million people are expected at the show.  Check out the web-site www.parkpop.nl/montemontgomery
