Hi, I'm living in the "green heart" of Germany, in the north part of a region called "Westerwald". By the way, there's even a small town named Luckenbach (that's why I was a little confused when I first scent some videos on YouTube "Monte live at Luckenbach" ;-). I am graphic designer, working as a self-employed freelancer for about 16 years by now. And besides that I'm heavily involved in (rock) music for almost my hole life. I did the vocals and lead guitar in several bands since I was 14. I like the ol' stuff from the late 60s and the 70s (especially Steve Marriott or Johnny Winter, Led Zeppelin, of course Cream, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones and so on... but I like Yusuf Islam as well, for what he did at the time he was known as Cat Stevens). Well, I'm married for about 17 years (always with the same woman ;-)), I have two teenaged children, a house with a nice view, a dog and a hamster... and since I've heard a special radio report 'bout Monte in December 2008 I'm totally hooked on this guy! His music brought me back to play acoustic instead of electric guitar and that leads onto a couple of songs on my own (as you can find some on UT). Since a few month I'm playing this stuff with two ol' fellows (bass 'n drums) – just like the dream team of Monte, David and Phil. But they are so brilliant, it's sinful to compare this! Actually, I'd been first in line at two of their superb performaces at the Musikmesse Frankfurt, dewy-eyed. I hadn't been so fortunate for a long, long time! In the end I could make their acquaintance. I'm absolutely thrilled: they are so pleasant. As I go there for the 2nd time Monte recognized me immediatly and welcomes me in a way as friends do. Even now I can't believe it...
